5-Year Warranty on Interior Work
Most interior problems do not show up on handover day. A drawer that starts to drag, a laminate edge that lifts, a shutter that sags a few millimetres. They show up in the second monsoon. That is why our work is under a 5-year warranty.
The short version
- The warranty is 5 years and runs from the handover date.
- It covers workmanship and installation defects in the interior work VelvetSpace did for you.
- If something covered goes wrong, we inspect it and repair or replace it.
This page is the plain-language version. The exact terms, including your start date and anything specific to your project, are written in your agreement and handover documents. If they differ from this page, the agreement applies.
What is usually covered
- Shutters, drawers and fittings that sag, jam or go out of alignment because of how they were made or fitted
- Laminate, veneer or paint that peels, lifts or bubbles because of workmanship or application
- Loose or failed fittings we installed
- Cracks or sagging in a false ceiling caused by the way it was installed
- Joinery that opens up or separates because of a fault in the work
What is not covered
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage from misuse, accidents, heavy loads or pets
- Leakage or seepage from the building structure, terrace, neighbouring flats or pipes that are not part of our work
- Changes or repairs done by someone else
- Appliances, lights, fans, sanitaryware and other products that carry their own manufacturer warranty
- Natural variation in wood grain, stone and colour, and small shade differences between batches
How to raise a claim
- Message or call your project manager, or write to us on WhatsApp.
- Send a few photos and a short video of the problem, and mention your handover date.
- We inspect it on site.
- If it is covered, we repair or replace it. If it is not, we tell you why and can quote for the repair.
Small things that help
- Keep your agreement and handover documents somewhere easy to find.
- Do not let outside carpenters or electricians modify the work without telling us.
- Ventilate kitchens and bathrooms, and wipe water off wood and laminate edges.
- Do not overload shelves and drawers beyond what they were built for.

Why give a warranty at all?
Because it makes us build things properly the first time, and because you should not have to chase anyone when something goes wrong.
