Residential Interiors

Foyer & Entrance Design

The first impression of your home — designed to surprise, welcome, and set the tone for everything that follows.

Residential Entrances

Entrances That Make a Statement

Your entrance foyer is the first thing guests see and the last thing you see every morning as you leave for work. VelvetSpace designs entrance halls that create an instant sense of arrival — functional, beautiful, and expressive of your personality.

Even a compact 20–30 sq.ft entrance can feel grand with the right combination of elements: a statement mirror that reflects light, a narrow console with selected decor, a designed floor pattern that contrasts with the rest of the home, and focused lighting that highlights the texture of the walls.

For larger villas and penthouses, we design double-height feature walls with art niches, custom staircases, and decorative panels that create a dramatic arrival experience worthy of the home it introduces.

Our Expertise

Every Element of a Great Entrance

Smart Hidden Storage

We design full-height shoe cabinets that look like decorative wall panels from the outside, with push-to-open mechanisms — keeping shoes hidden and the entrance completely clutter-free.

Flooring as an Art Statement

A patterned tile, a marble inlay, or a contrasting border in the entrance draws the eye downward and creates a sense of intentional design from the moment you step in.

Lighting the Arrival

The entrance needs focused, dramatic lighting. We combine a statement pendant or chandelier with wall sconces or concealed LED strips to create a warm, welcoming glow that sets the mood for the entire home.

Frequently Asked Questions

A statement mirror opposite the door (to reflect and amplify the space), a patterned floor tile, a narrow console with selected accessories, and a focused pendant light can transform even a 20 sq.ft foyer.

Yes. We design push-to-open shoe cabinets with finishes that match the surrounding wall panelling — they're completely invisible as storage units from the outside.

Vitrified tiles with a patterned inlay, marble with a contrasting border, or engineered wood are all excellent choices. The entrance floor should be distinct from the rest of the home to signal the transition.

Yes. The entrance design always considers the main door — its colour, finish, hardware, and proportions — to ensure the entry experience is cohesive from outside to inside.

A complete foyer design including shoe storage, console, mirror, and lighting typically costs ₹60,000 to ₹2.5 lakh depending on size and material complexity.
