Residential Bathrooms

Bathrooms Built for Luxury and Longevity

A well-designed bathroom adds disproportionate value and comfort to a home. VelvetSpace designs bathrooms that balance visual luxury with the practical demands of a daily-use wet area — ensuring they look beautiful and function flawlessly for decades.

Our bathroom service covers the complete scope: layout planning and plumbing coordination, three-layer waterproofing, large-format tile selection, floating vanity design, frameless glass shower enclosures, and sanitaryware curation from leading brands like Kohler, Jaquar, Grohe, and Hindware.

We design master bathrooms, attached en-suites, and common guest toilets — each calibrated to the appropriate level of luxury and functionality. Our experience with Mumbai's waterproofing challenges means we deliver bathrooms that never leak.

Our Expertise

The Art and Science of Bathroom Design

Waterproofing First

Bathroom failure is always a waterproofing failure. We mandate a minimum 3-layer system: primer, membrane, and protective screed — applied to all walls and floor up to 300mm height — before a single tile is laid.

Space Optimization

We maximise compact bathrooms using wall-hung WCs that clear the floor for easy mopping, floating vanities for visual spaciousness, and recessed shower niches that eliminate the need for clunky soap shelves.

Premium Fixtures

We work with brands including Kohler, Jaquar, Grohe, Roca, and American Standard to specify sanitaryware that combines aesthetic quality with long-term reliability. We handle procurement and installation coordination.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

A standard bathroom renovation takes 3–5 weeks, including demolition, waterproofing curing time (minimum 7 days), tiling, and fixtures. Rushing the waterproofing curing is the most common cause of leaks.

Large-format tiles (600x1200mm or 800x1600mm) create a luxurious look with fewer grout lines, making the space feel bigger and much easier to clean. We recommend them for any bathroom over 30 sq.ft.

Our mandatory 3-layer waterproofing system — applied correctly and given proper curing time — prevents leakage. We never compromise on this step, even if it delays the timeline.

Yes. Wall-hung sanitaryware, large-format tiles in a light colour, frameless glass shower partition, and a well-placed mirror can make a 35 sq.ft bathroom feel airy and generous.

We work with Jaquar, Kohler, Grohe, Roca, CERA, and American Standard for sanitaryware. For tiles, we source from companies including Kajaria, Nitco, RAK Ceramics, and Grespania.
